Creative support for therapists
and abstract original art
I’m Jodi Crane, a counselor who knows firsthand the challenges therapists face feeling lonely, uninspired, stressed, and overwhelmed. As a counselor educator and supervisor of therapists, I’ve seen how the personal lives of therapists impact their clinical work in both positive and negative ways.
I know how to facilitate supportive, healing groups and build community. In the Art and Play Haven I personally provide support for therapists that is safe, nurturing, creative, and fun.
I am also an author. I have written articles and book chapters in the areas of play therapy and the expressive arts. I recently wrote a book for therapists called Time for Me: 44 Journaling and Expressive Art Prompts for Busy Therapists.
I am also an artist.
For the past sixteen years, art making has been a reprieve from the stress of the various work roles I play.
Painting offers a way for me to express myself without writing or speaking, and I appreciate having a playful process to engage my creativity.
This art piece is called “Field of Tranquility.”
